Subaru, Camber Plates
I need to purchase a set of camber plates to correct the wear on my tires! I've seen prices varying, but the lowest I was able to find so far is $215 for fronts and $215 for the rears and they just shoot up from there! Anybody use these before or have an recomendations to what company to lean towards! Any help is much appreciated!

Troll would definately be you best to talk to. I would like a set also.

I just looked at JSC Speeds website and they have camber bolts which do almost the same thing, in the way they adjust camber...They are $39 for a pair and I need two pair! Might be a cheaper solution that will get me the results I need!

Camber bolts are cheaper for a reason. They are tough to set right to begin with and can lose their setting easily on big bumps.

They come with camber plates for front and rear. |

in my eyes camber bolts are a necessity, camber plates are if you need even more adjustment. the bolts are for fine adjustment and plates are for major adjustments.
the wrx has camber bolts in the front from the factory in the upper bolt of the lower strut mount. if you need even more adjustment you can add another set to the lower bolt of the lower strut mount, but its probably not necessary. i recommend adding a set of camber bolts to the rear struts, because without them there is no camber adjustment from the factory in the rear. unless your car is ridiculously slammed, just adding rear camber bolts and getting a decent alignment should get you into spec. -1 or -2 degrees of camber will definitely not cause very much premature wear at all. however if you have anything but 0 toe it will cause increased wear. for a daily driven WRX that you want to add a bit of performance to, i personally recommend about -1.5 front camber and -1.0 rear camber (give or take one degree all around--more negative for more aggressive, less negative for less aggressive), and 0 toe all around. |
