god thats the one car tht scares me in a race setting there fast as ****

HKSdrift3r 12-21-2006 08:26 PM

yea my boss has one. that car is pretty insane for what it is. Its quick and handles real tight on corners and back roads. I would def buy for a DD if $ allowed!

274bhp, 280lb-ft torque, 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, all wheel drive, inline 4 cyl turbo and intercooled, im srry but tht pretty impressive for a sedan

nope the 6's are awd and the 3's are fwd. Ive seen a few modded ones driving around but havent see one in action. For the price id still work out buying an sti or evo but there defintly a sleeper when comparing them. I think it be a nice daily driver

drew 12-21-2006 11:45 PM

damn, maybe i'll look at an ms6 instead of an evo 8

Turbo s60R 12-21-2006 11:47 PM

sti's and evo's are the first choice for everyone who has the money i like the idea of being diff thts why i did the s60R cause no one in delco has one

Yes, the Mazdaspeed6 is pretty impressive, all things considered. It was built to be the 'BMW' of the current Mazda family -- more power, more refinement, more upper-class type comforts, blah blah.

Check out http://www.msprotege.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=138 for more info .. It's a 'sub-forum' of the Mazda Forums website. Lots and lots and LOTS of good stuff there.

There's already a decent amount of aftermarket being built for it, too. An upgraded TMIC (Top-Mount Intercooler) as well as a full FMIC (Front-Mount intercooler) kit are in the works -- they actually might have been released already, I'm not positive.

I think stock boost is 16 or 17 PSI .. Not 100% positive, though.

Turbo s60R 12-22-2006 12:05 AM
