did I just luck out or am I ****ed?
I was making a left turn coming home from 5 guys and a dickface in the opposing left lane decided to go straight and almost hit me, so I had to slam the gas and my tires spun and smoked through the interesction. The second I straighten out I realize their is a police officer looking straight at me, of course he makes a u-turn and I see his lights, I pulled off into a side street so I wouldn't be blocking the road, when I made the turn I was just past the crest of a hill and aparently he didn't see me do it, because seconds later I saw his lights go zipping past. I sat there for a second thinking he would be coming back but nothing. I'm pretty worried he may recognize my car because I run with springfield ambulance and see them ALL THE TIME ( in springfield they beat us to medical calls like 95% of the time )
should I do anything? or just pretend it never happened? |
Geeze Drew...your always getting in trouble with the cops!!

:screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: But to answer the question, no, you aren't screwed. BUT, if you keep driving like this, you are either going to get in an accident, or get a ticket. You will learn eventually. You don't have to listen to MOM (itstock), but I suggest you do for your own good. Think about it  EDIT: And if you are to hit me, you better make DAMN SURE that my car is totaled, and I can fake a back injury from it! Just kidding....about the back injury part. |

I don't really understand your "story" on what happened, but I can only assume that "burning rubber and getting the car straight" means that you were driving wreckless  |
be like huh?
|
if you were turning left it woudlve been your fault. Its some BS Pa thing.

edit; i used to drive really wreckless then i had a really bad wreck in january of last year. it scared me so much i took a defensive driving class and stopped driving how i did before. i really cautious now and don't even speed unless i'm on an open road with noone around ( like a highway at night that i'm familier with ) |

But I really don't think that you will be getting a "future" ticket. Just deny the place and time that the event happened. |

PA laws are so stupid, in WA if someone switches lanes in an intersection they're at fault for anything that happens. if that guy hit me the accident would have been the least of his worries, i would have lost my professional licenses and made sure he had some sort of injurys  |
dont worry about it. im sure he didnt even want you and had something better to do.
About 2 winters ago I had just finished swapping my b16 into my old hatch back and a friend wanted to go for a ride. So I go around the block with him, and I just so happen to pull in front of a cop and just as I was about to floor it he turns his lights on so im thinking im ****ing because I have NO hood or fenders on my car. I start to pull over and he flys past me. I sit there for a second to let my heart go back down from my throat and never thought about it again lol. |
as a driver you have to wait for the intersection to clear before you make your turn.(i learned this the hard way) im almost positive thats a law in almost every state.
like itstock said just deny they have to prove it. |
You wouldn't be so worried (or posting a thread) if you were really only getting out of someone else's way, because there would be no reason to get in trouble for that.
