wiring dual voice coil sub
Ok so I have this sub Infinity 10" dual-voice coil 8 ohm a Orion 2 Ch 400 Watt amp and a stealth box. I'm not sure how to hook this sub up to the box then to the amp. I have it currently wired for a single coil sub. Can anyone help me?

Even though your sub is a 8ohm. This should help you out a little.

I think its actually a dual 4 ohm if that helps.

Don't we have a car-audio section in here?

Look like the sub is dual 4ohm so this isn't really a good amp/sub combination. You're best bet is to run the sub's coils in parallel (+ to +, - to -) and run the amp in mono mode. If you do this you really want to be conservative on the amp's gain. That amp will have no problem blowing that sub and running a below recommended impedance could overheat the amp and cause damage, but with proper adjustment you should have no problem. Or if you have the room get a second sub, that amp could run them both without a problem.
