could be a thyroid problem. my mom is going to put ours to sleep after christmas.

my puppy had those same problems.. it was a unhealthy liver and tape worm....$1750 later all better..... worth every penny.

hope your cat can get better.

I would bring the cat in as soon as possible - After the cat started throwing up, has it been pooping regularly (serious question). Not sure if this is 100% relevant to cats but check the stomach tracts - the stomach might have turned.

just went to local vet, the guy was an asshole, he diagnosed the cat with the same **** i already knew, dehydration, loosing weight from not eating and constipation. he said for 650.00 he can keep him over night and figure out whats wrong with him. this sucks since i do not have 650.00 to spend. its going to be very hard to expalin to my 6yr old that his cat wont make it.

I will see what I can do - I will try to get in touch with a local vet; I know a few

I would try Harleysville Vet. I used to work there but I still take all my animals there. They have great care and you don't pay out the ass.

ok well i just saw this thread... and saw the outcome too, lol... but btw you should never go to that vet again.. the vet's an asshole. If a ****ing animal is dehydrated the obvious first thing to do it hook them up to an IV and give them fluids. Not saying the only way is to keep him overnight for 650 bucks.. pshh

lol good to hear your cat got that golf ball poop out though!
