Airplane pics from Willow Grove.....56k Beware

I took some ok pictures Saturday. Troll don't laugh. I've got a soft spot for WWII era planes so bear with me.

T-28 with a nine cylinder radial. Everyone must hear a radial engine in person before they die.

1936 Beechcraft Stagger Wing. Was faster than any military aircraft of the day and could be bought by anyone who could afford it. This one was used by Mr. Beech himself for a few years.

Just some SNJ's doing formation stuff.

The "Heritage" flight done by a F-16 and an F-86. Before this the F-86 was doing fly-bys so low that he was kicking up dirt with his wing tip vortices.

And my personal favorite.
Look closely........"There are two O's in Goose"

The Blue Angels "Fat Albert" just after doing the JATO takeoff. There is something about seeing a C-130 take off in 1,500ft and climb out at a 45 degree angle that gets me all warm inside. Sorry about the mullet. D-bag would'nt sit down.

That's it. Hope you enjoy them.

Sweet! I was standing in the Target parking lot for about 45 minutes today watching the Blue Angels today. They buzzed the lot a few times. I could count rivets

no A-10 pics?

it was so odd seeing all those cars parked on our flightline, im used to seeing our A-10's and C130s parked there.

I was to busy trying to breath through all the pyro smoke that I couldn't snap any of the A-10's. I thought thier simulated attack profile was uber ghey. I wanted to see the A-10's come over the tree tops and disapear in 2 seconds not some 1500ft straight in weenie attack. It was cool when they flew down the centerline 20 ft off the ground through the smoke.

JATO takeoff kicks ass. Basically strapping rockets to your plane.
