Something on abc about philadelphia police car racing
 

I just overheard my grandmoms tv and it was abc news and they said somehting about one of philadelphias police cruisers participating in an illegal street race and from the short glimpse of the video that i caught when i ran in there it looked like the video I had seen on here of the kid in the sti racing him.

this guy i know flies helicopters for the philly police, and he said that those chargers that you see on i95 are crazy hooked up. he said he was up in the helicopter and he saw a crotch rocket flyin down 95, and the charger pulled out, and he said within seconds the charger was up to speed. he pulled up next to the bike without his lights on and then signaled for the bike to pull over. he said that they both had to be doing 150+ because the were pulling on the helicopter and he said the bird tops out at like 125. that sh** is crazy

streetAssasin: as far as i know the chargers the cops use are just R/T's, which are quick enough, but im not sure about them being able to hit 150. word is that dodge is not doing police packages for the srt-8 model.

One of my dads best friends is highway patrol, he told my dad all kinda stories about them but i forget the specifics on them, i will get the correct info and post it up later

yeahhh i heard about that! in the summer a cop raced a taxi cab.

thats one of the best short stories i've heard in a while, i'd love to see that

the cop package is the smaller hemi. however, the cop car is the only "stripper" version available. im willing to bet the couple hundred fewer pounds makes it as fast or faster than a srt-8

i bet with the added weight of wiring, comps, lights, steel caging, and whatever else is in there thats its not:-p


my buddy used to put together cop cars at winner ford and he said its sick how heavy they are.

just saw this on tv. Classic video from the philly races, not that great of quality, all kinds people standing around and in front of camera. All you hear is boxer rumble and the subie launch. It happened fast so i didnt catch it all but im going to keep the news on to here the story.

When they find who that is....

I post this on the race section well this one was first. I don't think they will find out. And if they do they keep it on the down low stating that he was chasing someone.

to tell u the truth i remember seeing a vid of the race from inside the STi and i think it was on here but I may be wrong
