Red Light Cameras

Has anyone had any problems with these new red light cameras in the philadelphia area. I know theres a few on roosevelt blvd, my sister got her picture taken at one a few nights ago. I looked it up and it said the penalty is $100, just wondering if anyone has had a problem with them or has been caught. I know theres a spray you can use on your plates so the camera cant recongize the plates, so i'll have to pick up some of that.

I got one on cottman ave, they send a picture of you running the light and a fine for $100, I didn't take it seriously so I ignored it, they sent a second notice, ignored it.. then they sent the third

if you get to the third notice they tell you if you don't pay the fine ( wich is increased to $150 IIRC ) or respond and request a trial date then you're pleading guilty to running the light, so instead of a $150 fine, you get the fine and points for running the light

if you get the fine, just pay it off and be more careful. I was really pissed because when I ran the light it was actually because a bus was infront of me and took forever and a day to turn, I was already "in" the intersection when it turned red so I just went

I heard some where that you can fight these and win everytime. Since there was no officer there to enforce the violation.

Take it to court and have the camera, or the camera operator (who also wasn't there) testify.

some of the cameras are not for pictures. the camera is to help the flow of traffic and switch the lights when cars are sitting there.

I know they have them near wilmington.

spray doesn't work. I'm worried about people that actually think it does.

Only way u could fight it is if the camera doesn't take a picture of your face (while in the car obviously), but only of your license plate.
