rx7 with ls1 video and pics dragging at atco
 

we rented out atco on monday oct 23. big headwind but at least traction was good. i got a 1.51 short time, 11.00 at 125. had issues though. broke tranny mount and exhaust hanger. fuel slosh issues in second gear. my rx7 isn't set up for drag racing; i only go once per year. all i did was put the shocks on full soft up front, and stiffer in the rear. although damn it does look soft in the rear.

thanks talon. the black ws6 is owned by alex and has stage iv cartek heads and cam, ported FAST intake and t-body, electric water pump, 4.56 gears, 28 inch tall slicks, etc. 10.60 this day but has been a little faster other days.

awesome times. we should get some tsters together and possibly try to rent out a day. imagine like 15 of us just taking our time and getting a hell of a lot of runs in, without the crowds too.

Very nice, but if all you did was adjust the shocks for the strip that means you drive the car all over the street on full wrinkle wall slicks!?

i did drive the 90 minutes there on those tires. they aren't full wrinkle wall slicks. they are DOT approved ET streets. but of course i put them on. its stupid and unsafe to drive a RWD car that fast without drag radials or drag tires. when i race on autocross or road race, i change tires too (R compound kumhos). and when i drive on the street, i use normal street tires.

I must be cracking up then as the wall of the slicks looks wrinkled to me in the pics.

they wrinkle nicely. and they are still DOT approved unlike their ET drag slick.
