iam an idiot , my car is fine

ok so i just got back from lunch and my car started doing something that i have never experienced before and its really bad. sometimes when turning and driving at the same time the wheels are binding. really really bad. like the car stops and goes. sounds to me like the trans or the diff. the weird part about it is that it does this only once in a while not all the time.

anyone have ideas?

Renegade_ 10-20-2006 01:56 PM

what do you mean the wheels are binding?

teh DIRT 10-20-2006 02:02 PM

the diffs are binding and not letting the wheels spin at different speeds when turning. its really jerky

Renegade_ 10-20-2006 02:06 PM

oh, um...

That sucks. Check your diff fluid levels.

RayArroyo 10-20-2006 02:09 PM

rofl!!!!!!!

the dccd in this car is very sensetive, one setting below lock still keeps the diff pretty locked and it prevents you from turning. live and learn hahahahahahahah i should of read the owners manual.

well car is fine, swithced it to manual and back to the norm

sesolcSTI 10-20-2006 04:55 PM

So did you accidentally switch the dccd setting? Keep that ish on auto all the time holmes, haha. I did that when i first got mine and it scared the living hell out of me.

S4toSTI 10-20-2006 04:57 PM

I drive my car arround in lock all the time... it is fun.

JDM87 10-20-2006 07:20 PM

hahahaha of course you do.

HuffRex 10-23-2006 01:59 PM

thank god i have a jdm lsd non-dccd tranny now so i won't ever have to worry about this

TROLL 10-23-2006 04:55 PM

keep it in auto... really not much point in going into manual from any performance mindset. glad you figured it out though.

now how about a call back ray?

CHAOS 10-23-2006 05:37 PM

mine was doing the same **** early last week... i feel better now.
