Quick Question about 1gen eclipse
 

Can a steering wheel from a 2nd gen fit a 1st gen steering column?

i don't think so b/c the 2g's have the airbag and whatnot on it, i don't think the 1g's have airbags do they? plus why would you want the GIGANTIC steering wheel from a 2g anyways....i think you would be better off going out and getting a sparco or something cool looking

here goes my problem. my gf and mother want me to get a car with a airbag and i know 1st gens dont come with any at all. And i cant exactly afford a 2nd gen with a 6 bolt in it which comes with a airbag standard. So... i was going to just slap on a 2g steering wheel on the 1g and if they ask it looks like i have it. But if i could find a 2g that im lookin for for the right price i'd buy it in a heart beat but all the cars that i see that are built the way i want them to be r 1g's. So please excuse this stupid question i just wanted to know so i can figure out what im going to do. There is no way im going to install the steering column and crash sensors and ecu and wire harness for a air bag into a 1st gen.. if even possible.

ahh i see...if i were you i would just ask them to go out and buy me a car with an airbag....they don't like it..tough ****, its not worth the trouble man
