CHAOS 09-18-2006 07:48 AM

that looks insane. im interested to see what engine mitsubishi uses in it.

peteyturbo 09-18-2006 08:02 AM

Looks like some sort of massive air moving machine

Scapegoat 09-18-2006 08:06 AM

be afraid...of what? Mitsubishi is on it's way out of the states. The evo is the only thing they made well...and hell, this one was made by Dodge!

Domestic Imports FTW.

At least when mitsu goes buh-bye, Dodge will aquire an AWD car

peteyturbo 09-18-2006 08:14 AM

Don't be a pompus ass just because you drive a chrysler and have some sort of relation!! The EVO X RALLY EDITION will be the hot **** no matter where it's sold, and dodge has no part in making EVOLUTIONS, they are made in Japan, assembled in japan..I can think of plenty of cars they made very well..They won WRC in 91 with a Galant VR4, then used the same car 10 years later with a tiburon body and won..Dodge will never aquire an EVO of any kind, they'd rather stick to their ham-fisted SRT division..

markley02 09-18-2006 08:18 AM

 That looks like the car I will be driving when it comes out

The next Lancer Evolution will come to market as a 2008 model and be based on the same GS platform used by the Dodge Caliber.....
shortly after the design of the new Lancer, Dodge/Chrysler sold their shares of the company due to the horrible sales.

Ham-fisted SRT division? I don't see any other performance division of any company doing so much to achieve a blend of performance and great driving experience. (save AMG and the M series)

Dodge will never aquire an evo of any kind...apparently, we already have a "kind of evo"

It's only matter of time before dodge gets ahold of the AWD and powerplant of the Evo to sell in the states under a different name/body when Mitsu takes it's crappy cars and crappy sales back over seas.

i am a full out mitsu fan but i BOO the EVO X.

2drStunner 09-18-2006 09:58 AM

:help: throwing up:help: I like the evos from before but eww!!!!

BMS 09-18-2006 10:11 AM

I think it looks menacing, looks better than the new STI

OptiCon 09-18-2006 10:13 AM

It's so violent looking!

I love it.

driftingeric2k4 09-18-2006 10:14 AM

Too George Jetson-y for my taste. Then again, it took me a while to get used to the concept GT-R as well, so who knows, it may grow on me.

TrboChicsRock 09-18-2006 10:37 AM

It's definitly a bit overdone.

xEJ20x 09-18-2006 10:38 AM

It's fugly.

RayArroyo 09-18-2006 10:43 AM

ok, waaaaaaaaaaaaay too total recall looking for me to own but looks waaaay better than a dodge caliber. i like the looks of the 8 and 9 better!!! also the look of the next gen sti alot better,

as or the dodge making the evo thats not 100% accurate.

the engine in the evo is the world engine which is shared by hyundai mitsu and dodge however the evos engine has a different design of the one used in the caliber as well as totally different internals.

they do share the same platform as the caliber but once again that platform will be shared by multiple cars including the caliber, dodge nitro, lancer and i believe jeep compass. however the evo suspension will be more sophisticated and the car engine and all other components are build and assembled in japan by mitsubishi. the evo will still out handle the puke producing caliber

to everyone that the saying the that the 10 is ugly , keep in mind you are looking at a minature scale clay model of a prototype and the car will most likely not look like that

i believe this pic shows more of the real thing but who the hell knows
