Full helmet, boots, leather jacket. If you go over 125mph you must have full leathers on. But that's what the speedo and brakes are for...lol.

Also you can keep practicing your launch untill you get a good one, then just go all out. Soon as you break the 125 with no leather pants/chaps you'll get the boot

2drStunner 08-29-2006 10:23 AM

also leather gloves! and as far as the 125 sometimes the bitch and sometimes the dont!

bluengoldsti 08-29-2006 10:25 AM

thanks for the info. i will definitely need to practice my launch, ill lose 1-2 seconds right there! i dont think ill break the 125 mph, but maybe ill wear my leathers anyways.

peteyturbo 08-29-2006 04:45 PM

I wore jeans every time I went and never got booted, usually run 130-133

TehWagon 08-29-2006 06:16 PM

depends who's there i guess. brandon got told once, so he just worked on 1/8 mi runs till the end of the night.

oh and its on the calendar btw, as is the freehold thing.

AMF Racing 08-29-2006 08:07 PM

don't forget if you break 125 you need LEATHER boots, LEATHER pants, and a kill switch........they are bastards though depending on whos working. if you dont have the right boots(covering ankle) or actual leather gloves and leather jacket they wont let you run.

Sweet, your first bike? What are you looking at?

boostinsidewayz 08-30-2006 07:14 PM

nah, i had an fzr 600 before. and now i'm rocking the old school cruiser ( 78 honda cb750k)
i was about to get an 06 gsx-r 750, but i can't decide if i want to get an older bike and use the extra 5-6k on the project car, i really want finished by june

Silver04STi 08-30-2006 07:19 PM

Nothing wrong with the old Hondas. My buddy has a ~1971 CB350 and I think it gets more looks at any event we go to then some of the newer stuff. The GSXR750 is a sweet bike, kinda wish I had bought an early 2000's model. Good luck with whatever you get and post up some pics when you get a chance. Hopefully we'll see you next week.

TehWagon 08-30-2006 08:35 PM

Brandon said probably :)

I have no idea where to get that kind of strap, don't think I have ever seen that type before. I wouldn't even know where to go. I'll be out tomorrow with a bunch of riders, I'll ask around.

2drStunner 08-31-2006 08:28 AM

if u mean the tsrap to lower the front end. there a shop near me one the white horse pike who keeps them in stock! Ricky Gadsen sportbike zone! i think there like 40 bucks!

supercharged 08-31-2006 01:59 PM
