Car Shipping?

So, it looks like I'm going to be moving cross country soon. I'm doing some research to find out the best way to get my 240 from Philly to Portland.

Anyone shipped a car before? Did you find it to be expensive? Did they take care of it, etc?

I'm leaning more towards towing it with my Jeep at the moment, but if anyone has any auto shipping experiences to share, I'd like to hear 'em before I make up my mind.

i had my dsm shipped from PA to texas through a subsidiary of mayflower. they came to my house, put it on a flatbed (behind a NSX), and drove it right to my apt (which was difficult bc it was a gated property and the truck barely fit through). it took about 4 days and cost $1200. i checked out the outside of the car and there was no damage whatsoever, just dirty as ish. i think i still have the paperwork at home if you want their number.
