Do police keep a list of cars to watch for?

Every single time I'm on the highway riding in, or behind my friend's car, whenever we see a cop on the opposite side of the road/highway the lights go on and they proceed to make maneuvers to eventually get behind him. His car's street legal and he's never doing anything illegal when they pass, but it's an extremely unique vehicle. We've never stuck around on the route we're taking to find out what the police interest is. So...the question is: Do the police keep a list of cars to watch out for? This is starting to become frustrating.

The police probably think you guys are racing if it happens when you guys driving like that evenknow your not speeding at the time you pass him he probably thinks you are about to.. so to answer you question no

That's what I figured, too. Thank you for the reply!
