My Classic SE-R

Well guys feast your eyes on the new hoopty. 1200 bucks bought me a 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R with 71000 original miles, stock, unmodded. All it needs is a right mirror, right head light, and in major need of a paint job. Tell me what you think, I am hoping to start with the suspension this week! Comments and Suggestions are invited, just dont bash my new DD.

Chris

The 1991–1994 generation was the first to offer Nissan's famous and then-new SR20DE engine in the SE-R model. Setting subcompact speed and fun-to-drive records of the time, the SE-R could shoot to 60 MPH in 7.4 seconds, stop on a dime with 4-wheel disc brakes, and cut corners with its strut independent suspension.

honestly i think it looks like crap right now, i know ull do a lot to it but that is a damn great buy for 12000 and only 71000 miles.

Oooo..thats a good find.wana sell it for $1600??just joking unless you realy want to?

jc8889 07-08-2006 03:48 PM

Thats pretty cheap, good deal

Honest_Bob 07-08-2006 08:12 PM

Wow, that paint is BEAT or at least the picture makes it look that way. Congrats on the find, my 92 SE-R was my first love.

The paint is dead, i dont think rubbing compound and a buffer will bring it back, im taking it to my body shop guy monday to get an estimate. The body is perfect less the paint and sunroof rust. its quick for what it is, and when i get through with the jim wolf catalog it will have a lil more pep. No plans for forced induction, but def cams, exhaust, ecu, and intake, paint, suspension, and some other little stuff. Ive driven it about 100 miles today and im absolutely in love, i couldnt be happier!

Honest_Bob 07-09-2006 12:08 AM

Yeah, I miss my SE-R on a daily basis. It was soo much more fun to drive than my WRX.

koho2731 07-09-2006 12:16 AM

nice B13. They aren't that fast, but they are just fun to drive

cburwell 07-09-2006 01:22 PM

That's a good find! The mileage is not too bad for a 1991 either!

Jeffros Spec V 07-10-2006 11:22 AM

Amazing....I wish I would have seen this deal.

Can't wait to watch its progress.

Pocket_Rocket 07-10-2006 11:45 AM

Nice find.. I had the 200SX SER as my very first brand new car.
Was great but the engine I think was slightly detuned from yours. Emissions or something.. Yep back in the day these were quick. Congrats on a fun find. Now get to work on it haha!!
