What do you think is fair?
So hears the situation. Me and a bunch of my friends are all swimming at my friends house. It starts to get later so some of my freinds change into their normal clothes. As were all sitting around two of my friends, both of whom are changed out of their bathing suits, are by the pool. One tries to push the other one in. He fails but I then push my friend who tried to push the other one in. He had his motorola razr in his pocket. Today he went out and bought another razr for 250. His mom will pay 50 dollars and I told him I shouldn't ahve to pay anything, but to be nice iw ill pay half. He says no he wants 200. what do you think is fair.

he's an idiot for hanging out by a pool with his phone in his pocket...
also, tell the dipshat to rinse his phone out with distilled water, take it all apart, and let it dry. Should be fine unless something was fried. |
f em' it's not your responsibility.
|
something sounded fried. when we put the battery in, it made a hissing noise
|
take it apart and find out
|
just let it dry it'll be ok
|
His bad, he ried to push someone in, he started it, he should have ben prepared to go in himelf.
|
No matter what anybody else was doing, you were the one who pushed him into the pool while he was fully dressed, right?
Whether he was dumb for having his phone, keys, pager, whatever in his pockets, it dosen't matter. YOU were the one who pushed him in the pool, which broke his phone. You need to take responsibility for your actions and replace his phone. |
Nah, electronics dry, it should be fine as long as it's not salt water, there was no need to run out and buy a new phone immediately...

it sounds like he tried to turn on the phone while it was still wet causing the sizzle sound... |
remember the good old days before cell phones when you could push someone in the pool and not have to worry about frying any expensive electronics?
tough situation, but the phone wouldnt be borked if you didnt push him in the pool. |
he is an idiot. Let the phone dry, open it up. clean it with distilled water, it will wash away any minerals and chlorine that was in the pool water. Laugh at him for buying a new phone when the old one turns on.

But if you guys really feel that strong forward to be a good friend and get him another phone this dick deserves an eBay one. Don't pay retail! |
OK i wasn't completly clear. This didn't happen today its been about four days. So the phone had ample time to dry. At first it wouldnt turn on now, it only turns on but it only lights up or somehting.
|
Also it was into a pool. He went to cingular and apparently on the back inside there is a little light. The light turns red if it was in water and thats how they know.

tell your friend you wanna show him where he fell in, wasnt your fault. then when your both standing by the edge of the pool shove him in again and tell him if he wants to cry about it do it in there
