quality of cars at the RR meets

i have to say i went to my first RR meet and was very impressed with the quality of cars there. i was expecting like civics with fart cans but i was dead wrong, the import scene around here is top notch, i mean STI's, EVO's, SRT-4's, S2K all over the place, oh and u can't forget about the turbo spec-v representing

i have to say lshatch's s2k was very nice, we sould race or somthing

Nice to see someone in the area with a turbo'd Spec V. How much of a hassle was it to put in and tune? Did you get any stock vs. turbo'd dyno's done? But back when I had my Spec V one of the problems I always hear with them was that the QR25DE wasn't a great engine for adding F/I too. But not knowing what else you have done to the car then it is kinda hard to tell. But either way good luck with the car and if I used to have traction problems with my stock Spec V I don't even want to imagine it with a turbo on it

I don't want to sound like an elitist, but the kind of crowd that usually has the Civics with the melon shooter and altezza's just doesn't fit in with the Red Robin crowd.
Most of us are in it to show how a well thought out ride, cleanly and (usually) tastefully done, can turn out. We aren't out there to see who has the baddest, loudest, brightest, or most obnoxious car. We started there to talk about our cars, show the new mods, and grab a bite to eat. The Fast and the Furious we are not. :wiggle:

Glad you had a decent time.

i agree this scene is very nice i used to hang with that type of crowd now i think my car and me fit in much better

word. we try to not draw attention from that "other" scene.

Thanks man. I thought your car was sick with basically looking stock on the outside. Nice car.

I'm down for a run or two.

MuddyREX 04-24-2005 11:12 PM

A ton of modified cars with very little neon and vinyl. Not that there is anything wrong with neon or vinyl. :wiggle:

We're both in the same boat. My clutch is going. I have a CEL on, my car is running rich, and sounds like it's going to break. I win. haha.
