Cobalt SS

Wilkie Chevrolet set up a new red Cobalt SS at Temple University yesterday for the Spring Fling. The car seems really nice on the inside and it looks like theres and empty spot in the engine compartment on the passenger side. IDK it just looked like wasted space. It looks like a sharp and quick little car I can't wait to test drive one.

Looks the same as the Saturn Ion Redline because it's the same car...only 2/10ths slower. (due to being made entirely out of metal and toting heavy as hell 18" rims, NOT because the engine is slower. Same engine, same body platform. Just weight.)

True but my whole life i have been raised to know saturns as a girls car so i wouldnt want to get a redline, i respect the power but not the look. Gotta respect the 18's on the cobalt. im still gonna test drive one.

Ouch...well, you ARE a chevy owner, so I guess that's not a big insult.

Yeah, bet the car is made Chevy quality too, if you're getting 135 bucks of free stuff. ;)

Cobalt looked Hot, The trunk is huge on that thing. Guess there is alot of room under that wing. I also was wondering about that spot. The wheels are hot, I wish they were chrome thought. Can't wait to see em in my rear veiw mirror when they hit the street.

I'd rather put the cobalt seats and gauge cluster into the RL, but whatever.

I might actually look into one of these slow things. They do look nice.

Big empty spaces under the hood are meant for turbo's.

the mike 04-21-2005 09:06 AM

On a supercharged car?

MuddyREX 04-21-2005 09:06 AM

That big empty space won't suffice for a turbo, unless you get something like a T2Small or something with instaspool. Girly turbo.

Study the engine bay setup a bit, above and under, and see if you find the spot that a few of us have already found for the turbo to go.

scott@revitup 04-23-2005 07:23 PM

revitup motorsports just recently purchased one. it was up at the thursday meet just off of the show room floor. ill tell you what if i had a choice between the ss and the srt, i would have chosen the ss.

but for those of yous looking for the twin charger, it will be on soon.

87camaroPA 04-23-2005 07:54 PM

Awsome and aren't you on CobaltSS.com also?

SilverBulletRL 04-23-2005 11:49 PM

BTW, I held in my hands the turbo psi-fi is using to twin-charge their Red Line. Expect to see some saturns in the area soon pushing some serious power ;) too bad I might not be one of them. Props to Rev It Up and Psi-Fi

SilverBulletRL 04-23-2005 11:51 PM

The aftermarket for these cars is starting to explode. With companies like revitup and psi-fi :)
