ut oh. I was there once before, it seems like a shady back alley place, but come on, real estate is expensive. They're paying at least 3/4 in rent than someone on a main street.
|
wow....
|
sounds like the owner of the car dosnt know much about cars.
and they told him it would cost 300 bucks to replace the clutch? thats a STEAL! im going there for my next clutch change...lol |
wow that is bad. I think this srt is yellow if it was at xotic getting tuned.
|
Dudes a douch who cares where they are located back alley or in the middle of a highway Revitup is the only shop i've taken my car to cause there good people and know what there doing. Geez louise

I replied over there, but so that you guys know, we did some work to the car before we started, took about 5 passes to try and get the thing to run through the band (fuel pressure and tune were so far out of whack it was like starting from scratch) and when it did it immediatley bounced off the limiter because the clutch was slipping. We charged the guy $70 for the work that we did and told him to come back when the clutch had a few more miles on it. I've had the same issue with my car and the spec clutch, so I know what it feels like to have the clutch slip. And i noted that that also drove fine on the street, but as soon as I put some slicks on it and tried to pull it, the clutch slipped again. We could have road tuned it, but I don't do that for customers because of the liabilities, and it looks like I made a good decision. If this has become such an issue already even when the car only left a little better then it came it, then i'm sure this would have been a hassle in the future. Thats the story. I don't think that we screwed anyone, and if the car is at Xotic let me know how they make out. I'm curious to see if the clutch is still an issue. |

It sucks sometimes when I try to do the right thing and get bashed for no odd reason other then the customer didn't like what I told him. |

However, I just found out that I charged the guy 70 and he gave ray 100 and told him to put it towards the next dyno session. So I can't believe that he is this upset, but I will say that his friend is the one making the post, not the car owner. |

The shop location is perfect for what it is. You guys aren't getting your business from walk-ins, but from word of mouth, and forum advertising. So it is perfect where it is for what it is. Could you do me a favor and check out my thread below this one? "Dyno Tune" and let me know, thanks  |
