Question -- do you guys ever do Go-karting GTGs?

Could be fun to get a group together, head over to Arnolds, and do a couple races.
Just an idea! Anyone interested?

markley02 05-12-2006 01:52 PM

Where is Arnolds?

cburwell 05-12-2006 01:54 PM

Oaks, off of 422.

It would probably be more fun then the usual parking lot gatherings.

S4toSTI 05-12-2006 01:55 PM

We have talked about it. Set it up.

I just set something up for a VW club for Labor Day weekend. I think we got like 37 peeps interested in it. It gonna be fun.

I would up for an outing. though, are you trying to get something organized like a track rental or just show up?

HickRocket1258 05-12-2006 11:48 PM

Yeah I'd definetly be up for it. I am not bad at that place but am too fat of a guy to get a good start when I have those turns I have to slow down for haha.

sisforsurfing 05-13-2006 12:10 AM

Yes! Sounds like a whole lot of fun, I've sadly never been go-karting... definitely want to.

TROLL 05-13-2006 01:08 AM

i know we looked into renting the track vs just going in as individuals, i think i remember it being quite expensive to rent the whole thing.
i think it would be hugely popular though if we could work it out, come on zippity do da, set it up... be the noob event organizer of the year :)

the mike 05-15-2006 04:36 PM

I'd be down depending on the day and time.

What kinda karts???? All of the ones I'v been at here in the U.S. suck. There all electric. I went to one is europe and it was freaking crazy. They gave you real formula Karts. 6 speed and everything

Arnolds is awesome, I used to go every weekend when I was in like 10th grade, lol. They are kinda quick and when you know people there they turn them up for you.

BlackBulletTSi 05-15-2006 06:48 PM

Sounds sick let me know I'd love to get in on this.

Turn them up for you... ? What is so hard about finding the rich/lean adjustment knob and dialing it in yourself, lol.

TehWagon 05-15-2006 09:31 PM

I'm in, let me know if you need any help setting this up!

S4 ZippyZoo 05-15-2006 10:33 PM

How we stand

Alright guys -
Seems like a good number of people are interested.
In order to rent out the track for a while, we'll need a bit more people.
If we just want to go as an outting, that will be a lot easier for me to organize - we can just pick a date and head out.
If i can ge a couple people's inputs on this -- PM me -- I'll start setting it up.
