New DD - 2015 Audi S4
It has been about a year since I last updated my 2012 S4 DD thread (here for reference) and since then I've upgraded to a 2015 S4 so I thought I would share some pics of my progress so far.
Starting from the beginning....took delivery in October 2014 of a 2015 Audi S4 with the following specs: * Daytona Gray Pearl * 6MT * Sport differential * Technology Package * Bang & Olufsen stereo * Carbon Atlas inlays To the chagrin of my salesman, I asked that the shipping cover be left on it so I could unwrap it myself: http://i.imgur.com/eFvD1og.png http://i.imgur.com/Vs25Af0.png?1 Out with the old, in with the new: http://i.imgur.com/YnzkQ2V.png As soon as I got home I put my summer wheels+tires on. Looks dumb at this ride height, but not as dumb as the stock wheels: http://i.imgur.com/0RgrjWU.png View of the new from the Z: http://i.imgur.com/fEqfzSQ.png ~40 miles on the clock I had Xpel Ultimate installed on the front bumper, hood and fenders, as well as 3M Color Stable 35% tint all around: http://i.imgur.com/jsVuFGs.png A couple hundred miles in, I had a set of H&R Street Performance coilovers installed. Freshly lowered: http://i.imgur.com/iE7KP4F.png A couple weeks later the temperature dropped and it was time for winter wheels+tires and roof racks: http://i.imgur.com/WtzNxJL.png http://i.imgur.com/jP6Oij8.png Installed Hoen yellow fog lights and matte black vinyl strips on the front grille: http://i.imgur.com/hKNafcP.png http://i.imgur.com/v0qk8ts.png European spec ("e-code") headlights installed. Same as US-spec except wider beam pattern and clear corner reflectors: http://i.imgur.com/Zw1wFEq.png http://i.imgur.com/t6AdoXa.png Full winter mode in the Poconos. This car was a champ in the snow! http://i.imgur.com/gDTEGgd.png http://i.imgur.com/nqQNhWZ.png Early spring 2015, installed CTS Turbo air intake and put my summer wheels+tires back on: http://i.imgur.com/e9s5jul.png http://i.imgur.com/obHYtR1.png Lowered the front end a bit. Gotta love Daytona Gray in the bright sunlight: http://i.imgur.com/ux8deXy.png Quick photo shoot with my wife's mk7 GTI: http://i.imgur.com/g22oDb9.png http://i.imgur.com/jDWMOe8.png http://i.imgur.com/AK593Su.png I found a set of OEM S5 wheels and tires locally and thought I would give them a try for that OEM+ look. Fitment is pretty much spot-on for this body style....same spoke pattern as the OEM S4 wheels, but wider and lower offset: http://i.imgur.com/Vo6GRAQ.png http://i.imgur.com/blL2plA.png http://i.imgur.com/q2of2Ps.png?1 http://i.imgur.com/kJS7U7c.png http://i.imgur.com/vfKK4dO.png http://i.imgur.com/Coe8DcJ.png http://i.imgur.com/59gxW5o.png http://i.imgur.com/r7gcPVA.png?1 I've since put my aftermarket wheels back on, but I'm kind of digging the OEM wheels more. Big decisions to make lol |
Is the bolt pattern 5x100 like most older audis? I want a set of those oem wheels

The distinguishing option that I have on the new one but not the old one is the rear Sport Differential which is a torque-vectoring system that distributes torque left or right across the rear axle to mitigate understeer, and in fact induce oversteer in certain settings/conditions. It's really a cool feature and I can feel a distinct difference between this car and the previous one in the handling department. No more plowing through turns. |
Looks nice. What lowering springs did you/have installed. Is the suspension adjustable?
