I need a 30 MM deep socket!

Anyone know where I can get one or even just borrow one for like 20 minutes. I checked Pepboys autozone and sears. I cannot find one!

Did you try sears hardware??? I bought my whole set of deep sockets from there.

go talk to a local shop near you and ask if you can borrow it and u'll give the guy a few bills, also give him something of urs to hold onto so he knows he'll get his socket back b/c a snap-on socket that big costs like $50

pep boys or any car parts, sears, etc sells them . the trick is, you have to look in the section that has the black ones that are ment for impact guns.

+1

9 times out of 10, they won't have chrome sockets that big. You ain't taken an axle nut off without a 10' breaker bar, or an impact gun.

Common guys, at least read my first post. I have checked sears (hardware) pep boys, and autozone. I also have checked the impact section

I bought a 30mm socket at AutoZone a few weeks ago. Its not with all the other sockets. I found it near all the specialty tools: oxygen senor sockets, crows foot, etc. And I know Sears Hardware also carrys one but i think they only have a standard socket.

Just might have one! what size is that in SAE

markley02 04-25-2006 02:12 PM

sae wont fit. The clearence is so tight an impact wont fit because the sidewall of an impact is too thick. The sae equal is 1 3/16, which I have already tried. I ordered the right one through snap on for $40 and $15 for 2 day shipping

Good deal and good luck! At the shop we have up to 2 inch i believe and no metric deepsockets, By the way what are you working on.
