help me find a 964

been looking softly for a few months now for the right porsche. ive come close a few times, but something always stopped me. most recently today with a 993. well ive made up my mind. i want a 964.

so heres the deal.. finders fee for the person who brings me the lead to the car i actually buy. someone somewhere must know a guy who knows a guy who has a clean 964 hes itching to sell but just hasnt had the time.

hows 500 sound?

what i want

964 coupe (89-93) no cabs or targas
5 speed
must pass a PPI
c2 or c4, dont care
colors preferred: silver black white. black interior a bonus. all colors considered though.
modified ok, no dedicated track cars.

i do no want anything else. no 3.0 sc, 996 993 997 ect.964 coupe only.

beyond that.. lets see what you guys come up with. dont come to me with rennlist/pelican parts/ebay/cars.com/autotrader ads. that doesnt count. but if you have an honest lead on a clean Pcar, i wanna hear about it.

I know where there's a clean one but he's holding onto it. I've been pushing him to sell it to me.

Theres a guy here in NJ that restores a ton of pcars. Not sure if he has one right now though. I'll let you know.

haha yea we've been texting and emailing back and forth for a long time over this and more. needless to say hes been great about answering all my bs questions and requests for his opinion.

Can I ask why the 964? Just out of curiosity

Because a sc or 3.2 i just too old to daily drive in the city, and a 993 feels too modern.
Last of the hand built cars.
Still has the great looking upright headlights, without the accordion bumpers.
"Modern" ac and suspension.
Power steering, abs are both kinda nice (have owned several cars now without one or the other or both )
3.6 g50 trans is a sweet combo

Ah I was talking with a Porsche guy at the Hershey concourse this year for a while. Told me if I ever needed any Porsche he could get it. If I can find his card I will send you the info.

My neighbor has a little dealership a couple doors down from my house. Generally only deal's in classic european cars. He might be able to help you out. Mike Hartman is his name. I don't have a good link or anything, other than one that provides address and phone number. He has a P-car at his place right now, but I think it's older (than a 964).
