Seven's 2013 BOSS 302... V.Wheels are ON - pics inside - Garage full of mods waiting

What happened to the FR-S you ask?

I bought the FR-S knowing I'd want to turbocharge it. I realized it's the first year of a new model and it's going to have it's growing pains as new models do. I didn't want to get in the situation of this car having some issue that other stock cars are having but not be able to have it fixed because a dealer won't touch with the turbocharger.I figured it'd be smarter to part it out, and sell it/trade it. And get something more powerful from the get-go.

So I traded the FR-S in on this...

It's a '13 bought lightly used with 3800 miles... It's a lot cheaper than MSRP for a new one.

It's nice having a car with some balls again. This thing rides nice too compared to the FR-S because of the longer wheelbase.

I already removed the restrictor plates from the side pipes (yes they have sidepipes and rear exhuast, weird I know) and pulled out the foglight blanks.
Immediate plans are to tint it and get a line out put converter, amp, and speakers to work with the factory headunit so it has some better sound.

Other than that... Brake ducting kit, Trans scoop, springs (maybe full suspension but def springs at least) and wheels/tires. That should be it for a while.

Thats a pretty big power upgrade.
My tuner owns one of them and it is a beast.
Congrats

Not as powerful as the previous car before the FR-S, but definitely a step in the right direction :)

Didn't lose much at all - FR-S/BRZ are in demand in the WA area

I will admit I don't like the 13 stripe scheme as much as the 12's.

On a white mustang especially it would be impossible to distinguish it as a boss without the striping though because the roof already matches.

Pull the stripes and I'll stab you. Just saying

Shipman 03-01-2013 03:21 AM

I personally love the vinyl's

SikneSS 03-01-2013 07:13 AM

i too don't like the vinyl BUT i understand what he's saying about "it's what makes a Boss, a Boss"

i feel that way about some vehicles with their big factory spoilers (STi, Evo, Cobalt SS, Neon SRT4, etc), yes they look better without the big spoiler but it's what makes it the top model of that car.

i think its just boy racer stuff.
i think a turbo poking through the hood, exhaust out the fender, and rubber on the rear quarters are better describing what makes something awesome, instead of stickers and wings.

this is just me though.

Already has side-exit exhaust... give me a couple of dry days to get some rubber on the on the fenders :)

So Saturday morning I'll be getting a quote to see what it'll cost to have an exhaust shop replace the pancake side-pipes with round ones for more flow, a quote for a tune from AED, and also what it'll be to install the few small stereo items I want (sound processor, amp, 4 new speakers, maybe a bit of dynamat)...

Lastly since Koni yellows are on sale this month, I'll probably buy em earlier than expected.
