13 WRX Hatch

Finally got rid of my G35 coupe and picked up a 2013 WRX Hatchback. Ive been wanting one of these for a while now and after a month wait for it to get to the dealer I finally got to pick her up. Ive had her for about a month now and I love it.

Nice car. I grew up in newtown sq. Some great back roads around there( gradyville, goshen, creek rd). I look forward to driving them when i go visit my parents.

great pick up. stage one asap! really makes the car how it should have come stock =]

keff108 02-11-2013 11:04 PM

Stage one was done about two- three weeks ago. I love it so far. Next up is down pipe and probably just small exterior mods. I want to get Hella tones, front plate delete, white LED lights for the license plate lights and a few other small things.

Thanks for all the love. Cant wait to get some warmer weather around here to get her properly cleaned up and do a nice shoot.

Nice car! I ordered a 13 WRB WRX hatch this past Friday. The wait time is 6-13 weeks but I hear its well worth the wait. Is it true? Haha. What was your selling price before taxes?

Car looks great! I love the wide body of the WRX/STI. They have really grown on me in the past 3-4 years.

I'm interested in hearing the price too!

The car is a Premium edition I ordered it on December 14th and actually got lucky and found one very similar coming to my dealership and thats the car I own today. I was told about 2 month wait but it ended up only being a month. I picked up this WRX Premium package on January 16th. The premium includes Fog lights, Heated front seats, Bluetooth radio, and a Sunroof. I believe sticker was around 29k. There were a few options this car came with which were the wheel locks, upgraded security system, and compass auto dimming mirror. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. The only problem with these cars is the demand is so high that theres not much room for negotiation.

If I would of known you before, I could of helped you out. A buddy of mine sells these brand new $500 under invoice at Ramsey Subaru in NJ. Probably closer to you than me.

Had some nice weather around here yesterday and I decided to go out and get her all cleaned up. 50 degrees yesterday and I couldn't complain.

A small updated I ordered an Invidia Catted Downpipe which should be in late next week. Once I install that I will be flashing to Stage 2 and enjoying all the added power. Currently I am tuned by Cobb AP OTS maps but after I get my Downpipe installed I plan to call up the guys at Torqued Performance and get one of there tunes. There a very reputable shop when it comes to tunes using the Cobb AP and they are known to squeeze some more power whereas Cobb is more of a basic tune.

Be careful with the TP tunes..

Love the 13 btw, very very different than the other years. Soooo much fun to be had

Just curious why your saying to be careful with the TP tunes? Ive heard really good reviews on them and alot of guys use his tunes.

Anyways I finally got my Invidia catted Downpipe in the mail today. Gonna see when I can get time to get it installed. Hopefully soon cuz Im really excited to get it on and go Stage 2. Still not really sure on my next mods so any advice or opinions would be nice.

RyanG 02-24-2013 09:49 AM

Fairly aggressive with huge boost spikes. Not a good thing for the 5spd but it gets the tq numbers people crave. I guess different strokes for different folks :) for the extra coin I'd rather see you get a custom tune.

rocknrace03 02-24-2013 10:22 AM

custom tunes are where its at. i recently had my 12' hatch tuned from stock to a stage one custom tune. the car makes 260 whp and 270 wtq. the car runs now the way it should from stock and is much safer. i can only imagine that you would see not only greater, but safer gains from a custom tune

tristatesentra 02-24-2013 11:11 AM

nice wrx but one thing im confused bout subaru why they made a different style impreza and they still have this body style. but anywho, I like this style better sleeker and not boxy like the impreza

keff108 02-24-2013 09:58 PM

RyanG.... What are the rates for custom tunes?

Another thing with a custom tune is I am def not done doing motor work to the car just yet. I dont see the benefits of a custom tune when I would need to go back and get another custom tune after every installed part. I know you know your stuff on wry/sti's and would appreciate your advice. I already had plans of getting a protune but not until later down the road when I'm pretty much done with my motor work.
