The Walking Dead Season 3

Starts in less than a week! This season is supposed to be a faster pace/more action than season 2 supposedly. Can't wait for it to start back up. Anyone else ready for some serious zombie action?!

Well we had a specific thread for season 2, figured why not have one for season 3. Doesn't matter either way, oh well.

I read the complete opposite... That its supposed to be focused more on the "story" and conflicts within the group, and less about dealing with the zombies.

Really? I thought I read somewhere it was going back to a faster pace like season one. Especially since there was such a backlash (if you can call it that) about the slow start to season 2. Although I did read there was going to be some character emphasis, like Rick turning into a Shane type person. Either way I'm just excited for it to start back up.

Heard that there will be some attention to detail about the zombies and how time has taken its toll on them so there will be upgrades in the FX. They won't be able to use as many real people in makeup so there will be many more animatronics and and computer fx.

Season 2 was pretty slow. Only two major things really happened.

mcperson2k 10-10-2012 11:13 AM

I liked season 2, but the last 2-3 episodes were so boring.

mr_eh 10-10-2012 11:20 AM

Season 2 wasn't terrible, had some ok zombie moments and the over taking of the farm was cool...

Shanes arc(h?) wasn't bad, showing that anyone who dies gets up as a zombie was good...

this season can't be slow with the introduction of stone cold merle austin and the gov'na

HatchSurfer3 10-19-2012 10:20 AM

Yea season 2 was quite slow. The last episode I thought was pretty good though.

I'm pretty happy with the way this season started though! Excited to see what happens with Herschel.

Anything but a slow start to Season 3. I LOVED the season opener last week.

HatchSurfer3 10-23-2012 09:09 AM

What'd you guys think of the 2nd episode. Rick is a complete bad ass now, not taking any ****. I love it. I really thought Hershel turned and was biting Lori when she was giving him mouth to mouth though

rocknrace03 10-23-2012 07:13 PM

sames on the lori hershal part. rule number 42. never cpr a potential zombie. i dont agree with him living. he got bit, blood circulated, should be a walker. but i know he'll live because he important to the show. i knew they should have killed all but the two living prisoners. the leader one was a total ass, and the dave chappelle crack head one was an idiot. big dude seemed okay too i guess? my favorite part was when rick closed the gate on the roof and told him "you better run" ricktatorship for the win!

that Governor dude is one sick puppy. something is going on in that collony that they are trying to keep hush hush. messed up what they did to the army guys...but its understandable...he wants to keep his leadership role amongst the people, if army came in, that would be in jepardy. good season so far.

You don't watch the show too close do you? Everybody is infected, being bit doesn't = zombie status. It leads on a seperate infection that makes them break into feaver until the point they die, then turn.

You're not dead (brain activity) the moment you stop breathing/have a heart attack.

At least that's how I view it as it being fine he didn't change. I did jump a little when he came back tho.

Yea there is something super weird about it. What is the scientist guy doing? Trying to turn them back? The room he was sitting in at the end of the episode was just f'ed up haha.
