2009 bmw dct e92 ///m3
I went from the record holding 335 to a murdered out M3.
Enjoy! nice
obviously the m3 is better in many categories, but would you say the M was worth the price difference: for a track car or for a daily I love my 335 and with rb's etc will have the same power as a charged m3 but will have ALOT more tq, and the fuel economy was the reason I went 335 instead of the M, but sometimes i question my decision |
Although both 3 series, its 2 different cars. I had every package on the 335. It was awesome for a DD, especially with RB's. 30 mpg was the average. Turbos are cool because you go from mild power (17psi/460hp) to all out (20psi/510+hp)and could rape a lot of unsuspecting cars with a switch of the map.
But in terms of better CAR, the M is in a different league. the interior is nicer and more sporty. The DCT trans is a huge bonus. V8 vs I6 is an easy choice for me. Price wise, the 335 is a lot more DD friendly, MPG and maintainence. Tq is something i missed when i was N/A, now its not an issue. Fun factor, a charged M3 is WAAAAAY more fun. If you were local i would let you test it out and see the difference first hand. Funny story because I had my RB 335 when my buddy had a N/A M3, I loved driving his car more than mine, except when we ran. He was tired of losing to me so got it charged. Once it was charged, I loved driving his even more. The TQ is is good for driving, but really doesnt play a role in a race, the gearing of the M (charged) negates that advantage and as speed increases, the M is favored. I would stop questioning it as which "3 series" should I have gotten, because its not really a 3 series, its an M. I dont wanna come off as the usual M prick. but Ive had both now, and again, its 2 different cars. price for cars is a big factor as well. i got both used, and although same mileage when i bought both, roughly 35k miles, and 2 years later, the M was still 10k more than i got the 335 for. M tax is huge for modding as well |
Looking good Steve!
