Speeding Ticket on I95 in Delaware

Hey guys,

I'm hoping you could help me with some information. I just received my first speeding ticket ever over the weekend in delaware while heading to washington dc. Mind you i'm from NJ. I have a clean driving record as of last weekend and i don't to start getting points now. I read on the delaware website this info and I'm hoping one of the fellow TST officers can clarify it. http://www.dmv.de.gov/services/drive...iolation.shtml

It basically says:

Point Credit

A speeding violation of 1 to 14 mph over the posted speed limit will not be assessed points, IF (a) it is the first violation within any three (3) year period and (b) the ticket is paid through the Voluntary Assessment Center.
A Delaware driver can receive a 3-point credit by taking a defensive driving course. This credit is applied to a driver's point total with the satisfactory completion of an approved defensive driving course. Defensive driving courses are valid for three (3) years.

My ticket reads as following:
Measured speed: 75 Charge Speed 60 Posted speed 55.

Is it worth it to just go to court and try to work something out with them or is the info above correct and i just pay the fine and be done with it?

Thank you in advance!!

You're not from DE, that doesnt apply to your NJ license. Pay it and move along
