when you see some pics of the whole car it looks even better

Raven18940 03-28-2006 11:58 PM

Now those are some brakes. Too many people have big rims and tiny brakes.

markley02 03-29-2006 12:05 AM

maybe it is me, but I still think the brakes could be bigger

D Money 03-29-2006 12:20 AM

Looked better gold, but still looks good. Lj sent me the pic last night, I didn't know who's car it was though.

I will have to see the whole car I guess. I didn't think it could get better then the bronze on them. Oh well. Guess I'll be checking them out on Saturday then?

definately, but the stocks are about the size of tea saucers so it's a big improvement. :p

UnderPoweredRS 03-29-2006 01:50 AM

breaks look the same as the subaru 4 pots. I bet the pads are swappable.

BlackBulletTSi 03-29-2006 01:52 AM

yea looks decent, agreed the brakes still look a little small

Gorilla Unit 33 03-29-2006 10:38 AM

igo4bmx 03-29-2006 10:57 AM

Twin_Cam 03-29-2006 11:19 AM

Looks damn good. I'll have to see it in person, I don't think it could look any cooler.

Also, looking at the struts, those things have a lot of caster.....

0000 grade steel wool and some mothers polish will do them wonders

wheels look good, you just need bigger brakes now

US_R33 03-29-2006 03:14 PM

not sure why everybody thinks the brakes need to be bigger

they're 290mm x 32mm up front and just aboutu 290mm x 30mm in the rear (vented too)

the front calipers are 32mm 4 piston calipers and the rears are 2 piston calipers

the pads are the same pads as the Z32TT chassis but the front calipers have larger diameter pistons and the front discs are a half in larger in diameter

yeah Adam i'll be there this Saturday for sure :driving:

i'll take some better pics today and try to post em up tonight

Late,
Daniel

US_R33 03-29-2006 03:16 PM

those caster settings were 5.7 degrees left and 6.5 degrees right

now they're at 6.5 degrees left and 7.0 degrees right and i now have -2.9 degrees camber left and -2.5 degrees camber right

OBEEWON 03-30-2006 11:42 AM

They look great but the gold with that orange paint was beautiful. Thats one of the best paint schemes ever. But they look great none the less.

Good job LJ.

I wasn't really talking about the pad size as much as the rotor size. I guess I am just used to the brakes on my m3 and the roadster and I want to go bigger on the m3

US_R33 03-30-2006 03:27 PM

bump bump

now with a new and improved link to last night's photoshoot
