Removing paint from plastic interior trim
I've got some rice that needs removing on my daily driver. The interior trim pieces are plastic and have ugly-ass paint all over them. I've tried the following items: Goof off, goo gone, small amounts of paint thinner, small amounts of brake fluid, small amounts of Brakleen and this stubborn **** still won't come off.
Well, to be clear, it is coming off, but at such a slow rate, that it will easily take me a whole week to get rid of it all. Sanding is not an option since the interior trim has a pattern in it and I'm not trying to destroy the interior trim pieces with aircraft remover. What can you guys suggest? |

What kind of horror will that do to the plastic?

just sand it and repaint. anything that removes paint on plastic will be bad news.
i used performix plasti-dip which you can buy at lowes or home depot... came out great. the gauge hood, a/c panel, and shifter console were all painted before this picture. http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMAG0077.jpg |

They actually make a plastic stripper that won't affect the plastic at all but I don't no the name off hand you would have to google it but it does work well I used it on many bumpers and cladding panels flares ect.
