Need some honda advice

Currently i am driving and running my 1993 subaru impreza L 1.8L sohc h-4. it has going on 182K on it. runs like a champ. My cousin has a 93 Honda del sol that just needs body work. I am wondering, is it worth a trade?

please send me feedback

What would you gain from a dented up Del Slow other than maybe a car with less miles?

lownslow95 12-28-2011 11:03 AM

It's a Honda, it will last forever.

If I'm correct your Impreza is the Front wheel drive model? If so your not loosing out on AWD.. How bad is the body on the del sol? Will you get it fixed or will you be cruising something all busted up?

I wouldn't make a lateral move... hell, its probally a downgrade on what you have now.

one thing to consider, if your gonna mod it at all, then the parts are cheaper. its reliable, shoot, its a honda. and at the end of the day, its your decision to decide if you want to or not.

Its a honda, in Lansdale.... If you make the switch, i give the car a week. lol.

A honda in lansdale? Is it THAT hood there? Psh, that place is sweet as tea.

You sure you want to drive a girls car?

Yes I went there.

On a more serious note, you sure you want to downgrade from 4 seats to 2 seats with leaky targa tops?

Spawne32 12-28-2011 01:11 PM

keep the subby

Honda all the way. Parts are cheap, easy to work on and super reliable. I've had a civic go to 242,000 before i sold it and still got 3k for it.

My car has been doing just fine in Lansdale.... Then again I spent $$$$ on security and not other stupid stuff first lol.

Del sols arent practical.

c7scayman 01-03-2012 11:58 AM

I would keep the Impreza and run it to the ground, then get another car. Whatever money you get, just spend it on maintenance and save up for another car and wait for the Impreza to die before getting another car. Besides, the Del Sol is slower, less practical, not as safe in accidents.

The only cool Del Sol I have seen online is this one:

Why trade Apos for a chick car pos...

jesus_ralliart 01-03-2012 08:30 PM

your 1.8 subby is actually just as reliable/good on gas/cheap to maintain.

downgrade if you trade.

i sold my eg si for my del sol....i regret it just because i found it...sold my car and bought it within 3 hours, its nice dont get me wrong...its actually very roomy, compared to my old miata and the trunk is huge finding parts for them is pretty hard, even for me(someone who constantly buys and sells honda parts) and it really doesnt help when mine is samba green. Long story short, youll get better gas mileage, and you can take off your roof when its snowing.

I'll vouch for suub's lasting damn near forever, we've had a subaru in our family since the brat came out, and my sisters 93 impreza has made the trip to clemson at least 3 times in the past year.
Don't get me wrong, my 93 civic is awesome, but the suub is just more of a warwagon than my civic can ever hope to be.
