As long as you see no damage and you washed it off and polished it, it should be fine.

BOOBAYS 12-26-2011 02:14 AM

Where did you come up with this idea!?

They make stuff to remove tree sap that might make you worry a little less.

goo gone

zuki19 12-26-2011 02:39 PM

I would just use dish soap, or goo gone. I had a hell of a time getting egg off my paint because it was sitting at a guys house getting worked on and got egged to hell on Halloween and i only knew about it like 2 days after he got home from vacation so the damage was already done.

I went out an used goof off that my girl friend had.

Than while I was using it I reallized that I had some wax and grease remover still, and its almost the same thing.

Anywho, all the sap is gone now, thanks, Ive been driving around for months with it all over the car, and it looked like birds were always ****ting on my car.

I kept thinking I need a clay bar, but to busy to go out and spend 20 bucks on it.

JankyS13 12-31-2011 06:58 AM

once you get you vehicles free of sap, tar or what ever else you come across look into fire glaze, **** protects from that and other things like bologna, eggs bird **** and other paint damaging ****.

Ridachu 12-31-2011 01:54 PM

wax and grease remover, plastic razor blade...rubbing compound BOOM!!! done

TunedIS300 01-01-2012 08:48 PM

as long as a little nail polish remove isn't damaging I'm good :)

JST2KWIK 01-01-2012 11:52 PM

Nail polish remover and steel wool are your friend. I occasionally use aircraft remover for the really tough stuff like bird droppings. Having a good, sharp knife or flathead screw driver handy can be helpful as well

httrdd 01-02-2012 10:30 PM

^^ there is always one ****head.

I would try wd40. It is mostly fish oil and great for removing stuff like that.

Slevin 01-02-2012 11:56 PM

like dissolves like. figure it out and you're golden.

MattBear 01-04-2012 01:47 PM

you can use nearly any OTC solvent, paint thinner, wd-40, etc. Just have to make sure not to leave it on long, or leave residue. Goo Gone etc is solvent based. same with tar/bug remover.
