interior lighting quick question
 

my amplfier for my car has a round disk in the middle. blue lighting is displayed to the beat of the music... similar to this http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thum...rcing_disk.jpg its pretty bright and could be distraction, but its inside my car, in the rear hatchw here it can still be seen by others. is this illegal in NJ?

yes, if it is destracting, and others can see it, you can not have blue lights especailly b/c those are emergency vehicle colors. So if someone sees a car driving behind them with a blue light reflecting in the car, they could mistake you for a volunteer firefighter or something. Get what im sayin. So yes you could recieve a ticket for it, but in some towns its more unlikely that you would be ticketed for it.

What about DVD players? They are distracting as well...

Just wondering where the state draws the line.


[EDIT] I mean the ones in SUVs and Vans the flip down from the ceiling.

39:3A-1...this is the statue given to those with televisoins and dvd players viewable to the driver.

Please don't take this as an argument, but if the subs are in the rear of the car, they are just as legal as any factory installed DVD/monitor combo correct?

well the subs are fine, but he said that he has a blue light on his amp that lights up inside his car, that light isnt alloud and by law in NJ, neither is a tv screen that is viewable to the driver of the car.
