Do you guys think I will hit 11's?
 

I got an offer today I couldn't refuse. I am going to be installing a manual boost controller on my car and having a dual stage custom dyno/road tune on my car very shortly. If I hit 11's with this setup I think I will be the first one to do it without cams, weight reduction, and ems,ect. I will be able to benifit from race gas with this setup which I am pretty confident will give me the 3mph I need with more boost but I am really hoping for 11's on pump gas..What do you guys think?

by the way your saying u went 12.1 with stock boost nothing but just a turbo back exhaust, with no tune, and its an 05 not an 06 then on that i call bull**** :rotfl:

Great responses :roll: I ran a 12.2, car was tuned with a mail in tune, but the peak boost was stock.Now the car will be Dyno and then road tuned with a seperate fuel and timing map for 26psi and race gas, and a revised map for 93 octane and 21.5 psi.

No, I need to pick up a boost gauge now before I get the tune. I have to drive to Ct. for the tune next week.

No offense, but I'm going to call BS on a 12.2 at 109 MPH too. What were the rest of your runs like for that day? How about some more incrimentals from that run also.

If that run is legit, then sure, the changes you want to make should help you, but that sounds like one of those "perfect" runs that will never be duplicated.

5 12.2's and one 12.3 enough? Need timeslips? I'd like to consider it 5 perfect runs:) I've been drag racing AWD mitsubishis for almost 10 years now as pathetic as that sounds.
Mabye this generous statement from sleeperstyle will hold some water.

some of you people are complete idiots. i saw petey run 5 12.2's with my own eyes- how is that bs? i SAW a stock airbox on his car, and no mbc, how is that bs? well, maybe he snuck the cams in there when i wasn't looking :rotfl:. the guy has the timeslips too, and a goddam vid! what else has to happen, you ride in the car with him during the run for you to believe him? :banana:

the conditions were far from perfect too, a side wind that was slightly a head wind on a couple of the runs (you could actually feel the 50mph winds blowing the car around), and cold as hell.

petey, as long as that poor stock clutch holds i think it won't be a problem. people are just jealous because with race cams, tons of bs done to their evo's- they are LUCKY to hit a 12.2. (this is not intended for any one person, just in general- i know of MORE than one).

Very few will give you credit and props when needed, seems they are jealous your going so fast w/ a NEAR stock evo. lol....screw um, you dont have to prove to these noodles your times, they still wont believe you.....

thats what happens when you just start a thread asking if your gonna hit 11's with no list of mods or previous times. if you set the thread up properly the responses may be more what your looking for
