agghhhh.... arrrreee yee mattteeyyy dis honda is mighty fast, but i dont believe they made RWD honda civics. Honda people always after yee booty of acceptance.

honestly though whenever a honda runs a fast time why is it always brought up like bragging rights for validation of everyone that owns a honda anywhere. any dsm srt ss cobalt or evo thread is more along the lines of just sharing a fast car with people.

sorry to be negative though: onto the car, that thing is pretty nasty i would really like to know what rear they used.

rofl just spit my drink out fast when talking about srt4 and cobalts ss being fast. you act like all hondas have stock 1.6L single cams

ok lets get your thinking cap on here. my topic i brought up wasnt about there NOT being fast hondas, just that when people share them it seems to be about proving a point that HONDAS are fast vs sharing a video with a really fast car that happens to be a honda. < no where in there did i say hondas are slow, jeff evans just came out with an insane integra ive been following and this car is a top teir built dragster too. so to reiterate...

im pretty sure within 3 years of an srt4 coming into production they broke the land speed record for fwd 4 cyl cars on the salt flats and had a full interior non trailered car break into an 8 second quater mile (oh yeah its also not a dragster with a body mocked to look like the car either). and with the cobalt SS impretty sure they were touted as the best handeling FWD 4 cyl to come out and may hold some nuremberg records still. anddd oh yeah i also seem to remember owning a built b18c in a eh3 a few years ago, so no i dont think they all have stock 1.6l cars, that isnt what the post is about so i say this to you too.

any motor will hold x power as long as the components are built to withstand the beating. the turbo is just adding the displacement and im guessing that thing has a nasty valvetrain in the k24 to spool such a big turbo to make enough displacement to run that much power. thing is in most cars like this running record times the companys refuse to disclose the specs of the turbo. i did see they have a borg warner though.

edit: id have to guess the turbo would have to be bigger then 72.4mm because of a story i herd of a 2.4 fwd 4 banger getting dqed from a class race for having a turbo which was bigger then that & since this car is much faster then that class doing high 8s low 9s its gotta be freakin huge lol or along those lines because the RWD factor helps ALOT

The car is sick as hell. Rofl at all the youtube comments...... honestly tho, at this point the car isn't a honda civic...it's a fully built racecar with honda parts/body.

Oh btw, what tranny did they use? It looked like it was an auto, but what trans could bolt up, a built th350 maybe?

hondas are slow, a bolt on gsr civic can beat a stock 20k cobalt ss. anything cant be fast, it just takes the right modifications.

your an idiot. bringing out the typical my cars faster then this priced car (even though its a death mathine/20 year old car/ with ****ty interior/ brakes/ suspension etc. etc.), and i doubt a strictly bolt on gsr swapped hatch in anything other then a stripped cx body will beat a turbo cobalt making at least 100hp more. Again though hondas being fast wasnt my point so again your an idiot because you miss the fact im not arguing that hondas are slow but that when a fast honda is posted on a forum its all about puffing your chest out for the honda name. done
