Local Nature Reserve

Just went out for the day with the gf and brought my new d3100 along to try some new pic ideas and stuff, all the macro pics are me just holding the lens backwards to the camera body. Honest feedback please because I am still learning as far as actually getting into serious photography goes, I used to have a d40 that I just messed around with, but now on this cam I never use any of the auto modes, I just use the modes where I set the shutter speed, aperture, or both depending on what I'm shooting, so I'm pretty new to all this and just figuring it out as I go.

you asked for honest feedback..... i saw the first 3 and was ready to hit the back button, but for some reason i kept scrolling and ended up seeing some pretty good stuff!

i liked the 1st set best, if you add numbers to them, it will make it easier to give some feedback on certain pics.

keep up the nice work:thumbup:

Yea their not the best but youve gotta understand the way I did it.

I had to hold the lens backwards on the body of the cam, and hold the aperture slider where I wanted it, all while trying to focus the pic and not let the bug fly away...I'm eventually gonna get a real macro lens and it will make the pics alot clearer and I'm sure once I get used to holding the lens like that they will get better as time goes on.

Thanks for the honest feedback though!

Thanks, just bought a 35mm 1.8/f lens for the d3100 so that should spice things up a bit, so far I'm in love with it.
