Slammed the Vette today

Slammed the Vette today and installed some black OEM headlights. I like the new look. Lowering the Vette is easier than any other vehicle I've owned. It was done, litterally, with a $60 pair of bolts. The suspension has stock bolts that work as "adjusters" to the ride height. You CAN lower it on stock bolts but no where near the depth I dropped it. The front was about an inch and the rear was a little over 2".

I have to wait for the suspension to settle for a few hundred miles then get an alignment done. My only concern is trying to drive up on to an alignment rack. I'm going to need some long boards or something. Hopefully there are some shops locally that won't snub their nose and doing the work on a lowered car. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Sorry just some bland iPhone pics right now:

I would of kept it stock. Your going to have more headaches then what its worth. Looks good though.

Well, I guess I'll be the first to say this, it's not slammed. Low though, but for slammed needs to go way lower. Looks good though, I'm diggin it, and this will most likely get moved to gallery. Welcome to the lowlife:)

not low enough

It's not a daily. I've driven slammed cars before- with kits even (lowering them further). Just have to watch incline approach angles and avoid sharp/steep speed bumps. So yes it does come with it's list of "cons"- however I LOVE the look of a lowered car. 100x improvement.

The stock suspension looks like an SUV by comparison...

Yeah slammed may be an inappropriate description. :) Thx

:) It's hard to see from the pics but the front fascia (under the bumper) has only 1" of clearance. I could take it off but then I'd reduce the airflow to my radiator. :(

Sorry for posting to the wrong forum. I seem to hang around the General one mostly. Thank you.

it actually directs air or its just sitting down there? because it looks more like it goes straight down and nothing else. but I don't think you would have cooling issues. remove it and go lower. or leave it on, lower it, and the ground will take care of it for you.

lol, yes it directs air to the radiator. That's the reason it's there. I'm low enough to be a bit nervous driving it in some areas already. Lower I'd crack my non-replacable rocker panels and my bumper would be torn off in less than a week. ;)

Function > Form. It does help keep air flowing through the opening and reduces air from going under the car. I wouldn't suggest removing it on any vette.

I'm not a fan of Vettes 'lowered' on the bolt stuff. Too bouncy, no real suspension travel and IMO handles worse than factory

but

It looks good.

Z51 suspension is really tight. Though my biggest question is...will it affect traction, due to less squat.

some shops have in ground alingment racks , i work at a dealer and we have one so the rack is only about 1/2 an inch higher then the ground when its all the way down. try to find a shop with it setup like that

The wheels are pretty sunk and the shadow throws off the drop. At first glance you think the shadow is the wheel gap.
