Can someone spin me up on HIDs please?

I am looking to get some HIDs for my 2006 GSXR 600. I'm thinking about 35w 8000k low beams only. I hear high beams are ideal due to the warm up needed. I'm a little confused however on which ones to get. I read about them being h4 bulbs, with h7 projectors? Does that mean I should order h4 lo beam kit only? Also if I did go with HID hi/lo, do I just order a h4 hi/lo kit?
I'm mainly looking on DDMtuning because they have great prices.

Gixxerboys has really nice kits, but they're prices are steep.

These are pretty newb questions, but I don't want to order the wrong ones.

I am a lighting whore. All 3 of my vehicles (bike included) have HID's. And most of my prior's have been the recipient of an HID kit or retrofit. I have done true retrofits with HID projectors all the way down to a POS plug and play kit. First off, do you want good light output or a ricer blue color? If you want the former, go with a 4300K-5000K kit. I like to SEE at night, especially on my bike. For my PnP kits, I run VVME.com and have had barely any issues with them. I think their prices are better than DDM, though I haven't checked myself lately. I don't know about GSXR's with what bulbs/capsules they use. I do not recommend HID's for high beams unless you ride a lot out in the country where you will be leaving your highs on for a sustained amount of time.

Color Temp (K) - Lumens Output (lm):
3000K (yellow) - 3200 lm
4300K (OEM) - 3300 lm
5000K - 3400 lm
6000K - 2700 lm
7000K - 2000 lm
8000K - 1500 lm
9000K - 1000 lm
10000K - 600 lm

Regular halogen headlamps typically produce between 700 to 2100 lm depending on the style (Regular, HIR, etc.).

Please don't be a ricer :P

I was leaning towards gixxerboys 25k hids.

kidding. more then likely I'll get 6k.. in my car I would like to retro fit them, but on my bike I'll probably just use a plug and play.

I have a DDM 6000K 55w Hi/low setup on my F2, it's freaking great. I can actually see with them in, unlike the old halogen which I couldn't see a DAMN thing.

+1 on DDM, good price, good quality and good waranty!

6000k 55w or 5000/4300k 35w if you actually ride at night and want a headlight you don't out run in second gear

i think I'm gonna go with 6k 55w. I just need to decide if I should get a hi/lo combo, or just low
