Stupid Blind Date...need ideas

I dont know why, but I agreed to go out on a blind date. Anyway, I gotta call her later today and set up plans for this blind date of ours. She lives a few blocks from me in Philly...so it can be something local. Im just not exactly sure what to suggest. Dinner, Drinks..I dont know. Ideas?

Big_Jim 03-07-2011 07:35 AM

drinks, have her meet you wherever you're going. Dave and Busters is always a good time because you can have some drinks, and lighten the mood a lot with the games.

I actually thought of Dave and Busters...but I wasnt sure if it was a good idea or not. I dont know her at all (obviously) so im not sure if shed be into it or not.

is she over 21? that could be a problem if she's not, and you're trying to go there @ night.

motorvated 03-07-2011 07:46 AM

yea im 22 and shes 26 or 27. Shes also very smart and has a Masters/PHD

Blind dates are a ton of fun. Go to the movies (Hint: The Ritz at The Bourse always has oddball stuff playing) so that you have something to talk about afterwards, then seek out a quirky bar that has karaoke and stuff where the fun atmosphere and lots of people allow you to just hang and people watch. Always worked out for me. Good luck!

Dave and Busters has alot of different things. Pool tables, bar, food, and games. It is hard not to have a decent time there. FYI. Win her a stuffed animal for a few extra brownie points.

Its a bit cold yet, but if you guys have never been to The Franklin Fountain for ice cream its really good and has an amazing atmosphere.

Oh wow, I hope you can keep up the convo with her. lol Might want to do some studying.
I wouldnt date a girl that much older then me but to each his own.
Dave and Busters sounds like the best idea.
Do you know what this girl looks like? (i know with a blind date you dont know anything but, these days usually you get a picture, if your hooked up through friends etc.)

motorvated 03-07-2011 10:38 AM

Yeah I know what she looks like. Im not concerned with conversation, no need to study haha. I think we may just do dinner and see how it goes. If theres a second date, maybe D&B will be a good option. Cant date a girl that cant have some god damn fun!
