Always happy to help out the SPCA. Can't see the facebook page here at work but I'll take a look at it when I get home. Depending on the date I'll definitely come out and show some support. Maybe I can convince some of the locals TSTers to come out with me!

anyways, any more info a non-facebooker can get? |
Not much information is available on the FaceBook page yet, in terms of date and location anyway. Seems like OP is going to check out a route sometime soon.

More info per boostedsm's request:
Cars 4 Paws started last year as a car show to help raise money for the NJSPCA. Last year with the help of sponsors and attendees we raised about $1000. This year I have taken the name Cars 4 Paws and made it the hosting name for any future events- hence the FB page dedicated to it. This year is going to be much simpler for me in terms of setting up an event. There was a lot of planning involved last year for the car show and I dedicated countless hours to getting sponsors, buying supplies, and everything else. No I'm not complaining, at the time of my idea I just didnt realize how much was involved in planning a car show by myself. Well I learned...it's a lot of work. So this year I've decided that a cruise would still warrant for a fun time, and allow me to help raise money for a good cause. I had a chance to check out the route i was planning on using and wasnt thrilled with it. Going to check out another route hopefully this weekend to see if that one is any better. As far as registration- there is no set price. Any donation is greatly appreciated |
^ Let me know when this is, I also don't have fb. A cruise through the gap would be fun. I hike there alot. gap, stokes, high point.
I should be up there this saturday hiking, just not sure where yet. Maybe culvers gap? I have all the maps from nynjtc.org that shows lots of the roads, trails and parking areas. If you need some help let me know. |
Driving to sunrise mountain is a good route, just to let you know.

We're looking at a few shorter routes currently than the one we just did. The route we took last weekend was decent in some areas, but just took forever. Also, there were a lot of residential areas (even on a county route). I did a couple fun cruises up and down the gap in the past few years, just need to get a written out route. We're looking at a route somewhere in the vicinity of 30-50 miles.
If anyone has one in that area (completely written out turn by turn, and preferably on the NJ side of the river) you can PM myself or G6girl. Once we DO find a decent route, we're going to do a test run with video to show everyone, so you know what it'll be like. |
I'll do a joyride when i'm done hiking, i have a few ideas and roads i've been on. Tillman ravine is another place been through and back out to wallpack center and to millbrook village. I'll get back to ya
|
Also depends on where you wanna start. You could start from hot dog johnnys in buttzville.
|
If we're doin a Gap cruise, probably somewhere in the Phillipsburg area. The route we were gonna run this weekend starts on 22/78 right after Bridgewater, leading up to Budd Lake as a final destination for some pictures and what not. Just to give you an idea
