Anyone with experience on backward entries- Is it easier to do an e-brake initiation or just power on and use the weight/momentum of the car? Looks like Tanner and the guy in the FC are e-braking it while in that documentary powering over seems to be the favored method. Squid looked like it was an accident lol.

jesse096 02-02-2011 05:40 PM

Entering backwards=hawt.

That is all.

It dosent matter how you get it past 90. Its about timing it right to scrub enough speed dragging the front wheels and end up in a spot where you can make the corner work when the front comes back to grip.

Thats what it looks like to me, but I never did it YET

i think drift squids entry was my favorite. going backwards the other way and then swinging it around for the turn

Vinny 02-04-2011 03:09 AM

Lol, exactly the order I had it Sean. I did best for last ;)
Even if it was on accident, he pulled it off well in recovering! Great instincts!

Vinny 03-03-2011 12:45 AM

I never saw this until now

That's got to be one crazy ass pic from that video. That should be a drifting poster for Toyo Tires.

S.Milone 03-09-2011 12:20 AM

They were all accidents, Tanners being the worst because he slowed down so much because he went off line. They are just all decent drivers and corrected there mistakes. Kawabata drives at extreme angles often though he is very good.

Dustin 03-09-2011 12:25 AM

I love how with kawabata when he's at full lock you just see the clutch kick and gas to the floor hahaha
