Finally got the truck lifted with proper wheels and tires

I finally installed my lift and tires this past weekend with the help of a couple buddies one who owns the shop we did it in. Thanks to him I saved a lot on the install and got me free alignment after and tires and rims mounted and balanced. Nothing a little food and beer cant pay for!

Having some fun burning off the old tires which resulted in the police coming to the shop and giving us tickets even tho it was on private property but was worth it.

Pictures dont do it real justice looks a little bigger in person but all around happy with how it came out. I didnt want to go any higher because Im still going to be towing a 30' gooseneck trailer this summer and will be sled pulling it at local fairs. This may not be some peoples cup of tea but if you have something bad to say please send me a message but constructive criticism is always welcomed!

Fits the part now! Love it! What did you pay for the truck if you don't mind me asking?

Chopper17 12-11-2010 05:35 PM

Thanks! I payed $9700 its got 223k on it when I bought it but have a folder filled with receipts and records of the truck including built trans, injectors, turbo, front end, manifold, etc. The lift kit was $950, rims where $480 got them from a friend who paid $600 and never even mounted tires on them, and $275 for the tires with 60% tread left on them after I sold the rims that came with it.

wow thats badass

Chopper17 12-11-2010 07:08 PM

Thanks! I wanna get some action shots up soon with some articulation shots also.

CULATER 12-11-2010 09:35 PM

Looks good. I thought i was the only person on here with stacks on their truck. haha

lownslow95 12-11-2010 09:36 PM

Absolutely badass.

Tuff Country? Why not BDS?

Chopper17 12-11-2010 10:34 PM

Its just a budget lift kit for now I'm getting full coilsprings up front, long arms, cross over steering, upgraded track bar, traction bars, etc this spring possibly and bds is too much money right now for me and if I was gunna go high end I would do carli or something like that.

Lol yea I prefer stacks on my truck I'm getting 6" or 7" aussies, turnouts or bull haulers coming up haven't decided yet.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

OutToWinPAHC 12-11-2010 10:57 PM

Looks good minus stacks, just not my thing

1hightoy 12-11-2010 11:16 PM

Looks good , nice stance to it...

Chopper17 12-11-2010 11:59 PM

Thanks yea stacks are hit or miss with people and its all personal perference lol It all depends on the vehicle wether if I would put stacks on it or not and they are a lot louder than the side exit I had.

JST2KWIK 12-13-2010 12:08 AM

sick truck. <3 cummins

Chopper17 12-13-2010 12:51 AM

thanks man yea after having a powerstroke, even tho it was a really good motor, i love cummins way too much because of the power they can make for not a lot of money minus the trans issue but thats getting taken care of with either the trans getting redone with triple disk billet converter and full billet shafts or 5spd swap. I need something to haul 20,000lb trailer next year!

TalonTsi97 12-13-2010 12:57 AM

I always like stacks but these aren't doing it for me, maybe in person they flow better.

Who called the cops on ya? lol thats beat

Either way, the best kind of truck is a lifted one!

Chopper17 12-13-2010 01:44 AM

Yea the turnouts I got dirt cheap and not a big fan of 5" stacks and prefer 6" or 7" and will be getting some after getting some little trans mods, hids this week and new lighting on the truck.

We didnt see the cop in the parking lot by the shop and its the same cop that got me and my buddy on our quads so he didnt like us in the first place lol it was some bs and we are prolly sending in the tickets not guilty anyways.

lol yesir I always preferd lifted truck and really like how long bed lifted trucks look!

wagenz 12-16-2010 11:51 AM

Looks great, I love these extended cab/long bed Rams.

Chopper17 12-16-2010 01:01 PM

Thanks yea I didnt really like long beds that much because my ford was a extended cab short bed but with the tool box and stacks Im still able to haul my quad around.

lepichichi 12-16-2010 03:00 PM
