Sunbirds are nasty little buggers when done up right.

my friends turbo mustang has a 82 AR t4 flange 67mm

spools faster than a 1.8t and makes 550rwhp through a th400 @ 12psi

67mm exudcer size? thats too small for a 75mm compressor inducer... maybe he's running a s464 or s466...would probably work on those...

Chopper17 11-03-2010 05:48 PM

Thats pretty sick and thats the turbo im going to be using on my truck next spring for easier a big single or to go with twins to go under my 57mm turbo currently but instead going with the bigger housing since ill beable to spool them no problem in the twin setup or a s480 which ever I decide for power goals. Those 6.0 motors are sick for making good cheap power out of.

its a t67 inducer
.82 AR exhaust side

Vr-4-Life 11-04-2010 04:59 AM

Jesus... It hit full boost so fast I was disappointed by the top end.

Does'nt really matter what size housing he has on there. You've got 8 cylinders worth of exhaust energy pushing that turbine wheel. It's going to spool up quickly with a .82 or a 1.30+.

Yeah, but look at how long of a power curve it must have. Well, more like a power line. It probably peaks right away and holds that to redline. See,thats the kind of car you put a powerglide in. I see so many guys put PG's in small displacement cars. A 350hp 305ci or even 350ci just does'nt have the brute force that yo need to make that dreaded 1-2 shift. The power just drops right off. PG's are great for big block cars and turbo cars like this one.

i dunno man, you on the stock head/cam still? i know those 12 valves have trouble spinning the big boys specially with a tiny primary like that...

i dunno man, yea their both gonna spool but ive riddin in trucks that are basically the same one with a standard 4292 with the 1.01 housing and one with the s472 with the .9 housing and the s472 spooled significantly faster even though its larger...

airworks FTW lol:mrgreen:

The head is getting ported and all the goodies with colt cam or a schied street cam I havent decided on which one yet. It will have plenty of fuel to light the turbos and still deciding on wether to sell my current to turbo in favor of a 64/71/14 or a 66/71/13ss which then I have decide if I want really big power and not be able to tow. Thats why most likely sticking with the s475 as the bottom turbo and run water/meth when towing a trailer for the jeep im going to build this winter.
