Tracks in PA

What are the locations of the tracks in PA and when do they have open runs.

I usally run in Etown, but I now am running nitrous and you need a permit in NJ. I dont think I will get it in time to run before the season closes. I had a permit before but it expired.

So I want to get at least one night in, and Im thinking that I can run in PA, I just need to find a track in PA close to me. Im in morrisville, PA, which is about 20 mins from NE Philly

HickRocket1258 10-14-2010 08:05 AM

You could probably do either Maple Grove or Cecil County in MD.

Rocket! 10-14-2010 08:15 AM

run at atco. they never check for a permit at least they never asked me

Those are 2 far, lol. If I was trailering it than I would go, but Im not driving there. Etown is like 30-40 mins from me thats about the distance I want to go.

I thought there was a rumor going around that there was a new track opening up right outside PA.

IDK. Probally dont ask, but I dont want to get there and be the smuck that gets sent back out the gates because I dont have a permit, lol.

EklipzGSXkid 10-14-2010 10:21 AM

Numidia?

mckpat03 10-14-2010 11:06 AM

I know its way farther than you want to go, but theres a big PAtuned event this Saturday at Beaver Springs.

Rocket! 10-14-2010 11:57 AM

you'll be ok at atco. just stop by the speed shop put the bottle on the counter and they will take car of the rest

Rocket! 10-14-2010 11:58 AM

and as long as you have the proper safty equipment you'll be racing... no matter how fast you go you will need at least a jacket to run your car with a power adder no matter what type of adder you have.

The Alchemist 10-14-2010 12:56 PM

A jacket? R U serious?

Lol, I like to think Im fast, but Im not that fast. ****, For one thing Im pretty sure I will break 14's , and at etown all you need is a good helmet, which means that I will need to get a new one of those anyway, my moto x helmet wont cut it, lol.

Rocket! 10-14-2010 02:08 PM

if you read etown rules and NHRA if your vehicle is equiped with a non factory power adder a jacked is needed no matter if u got a ebay turbo for you honda and still going 18's lol

RedBowTies88 10-14-2010 02:29 PM

dude, go to atco. they don't ask questions hell i race in shorts most of the time. and its constantly 1.5-2 tenths faster then etown

worst track ive ever been to... FWIW

The Alchemist 10-14-2010 02:35 PM

Isnt Atco's track sloped down hill? Lol that would account for .2 seconds faster.

Now I need to find a jacket, Im feeling really cheap at the moment, and dont want to shell out loot for a jacket.

i dont know and i dont care:wink:

they wont bug you for a jacket there, specially if you're running 14's. they've yet to say a word to me a couple seconds faster then that

LM Designs 10-14-2010 02:59 PM

Maple Grove or Numidia

Rocket! 10-14-2010 04:55 PM

i don't think atco is down hill i know ceicle is down hill. For a street night u might be able to get away with it but if you are going to race competion better safe then sorry

FocusDude 10-14-2010 04:58 PM

Atco is your best bet I think.

The only track that I've heard opening up around here is Liberty, but I don't think it will have a 1/4 mile track.

SleeperGoat 10-14-2010 05:43 PM

Atco's never said anything to me an I filled the bottle at the track. I've yet to be hit for anything other then a helmet too.

61st & Holstein St.... South Philly

No permit, No entrance fee, No helmets

Track prep is hit or miss and occasionally you may have to shut down in the middle of a run due to a fleeing Puerto Rican running in the middle of the race track.

Other than that...It's fantastic
