Traded in the scion for this

Well as the title says, I traded in the scion. It was a nice car and all but I wanted RWD.

Here is a quick pic of what I bought it's a 06 red fire mustang gt.

Not sure exactly what I am gonna do to it, It's got a K&N intake on it and I have heard some bad things on the K&N, So I guess first things first are get a new intake and a tune.

How does it feel to have power now?

mckpat03 09-26-2010 01:28 PM

Yessss. Good trade for sure! Let the modding commence!

PunkboySL2 09-26-2010 02:42 PM

Very nice. My parents have an 06' GT in white w/ blue strips. They're nice cars for sure. Quick and they seem to handle quite well in stock trim from the little drive I gave it.

please dont.... unless your dragging the car daily.... looks retarded on a DD and you will be going through tires monthly if not sooner with that setup.... terrible all around. get some saleen rims, nitto 555r's and call it a day

HickRocket1258 09-27-2010 08:44 AM

Yeah I would skip those visual mods and stick with just putting power down. Don't know what your intentions are with it, but gears are your friend. :) I don't know why you've heard that K&N isn't good.

bmatyeah 09-27-2010 08:44 AM

Yeah, running 15's on radials when your close to stock/driving on the street, way to much but works as a track setup. 197's can fit some larger wheels. 18's look great on them.

I agree with the gears comment. You really feel it when you get the gears in there. Its a great mod and cheap if you do it yourself. Throttle bodies have a better influence on this car then they did the older stangs. What are you gonna tune it with? WHat exhaust does it have? I would tune it when you get all your breathing mod's done. Ive heard the Tillmanspeed.com tunes are better then american muscle.

Is this car a Manuel?
Is it driven highway a lot?

Vinny 09-27-2010 09:34 AM

Great upgrade, good choices, but like the other guys have said - Wheel choice isn't proper unless it's strictly for dragging.
Goodluck with it!
