lame. i've been there many times and it's a very cool place to quietly go 'urban exploring' and get a look back at some of the more disgusting things we as humans have done, but making a joke about it by opening a haunted house is just f*cked up.

how hard was it to break into it in the past....and there and good legit scary haunted houses to go through....that bates motel is miserable after all the hype I heard

The website reminds me alot of the Eastern state penitentiary terror behind the walls site.

How you gonna turn a haunted place into a haunted place?

I swear it takes all the scary right out of it. they should just let you roam around the building as it sits. only take a handful of people per night and charge good money.

going into pennhurst by yourself or with a small group of people is definitely quite an experience. i don't even understand the appeal of going into a fake haunted house, surrounded by tons of other people in a place where the whole idea behind the 'scary' is being alone. honestly, i think it's creepier there during the day time. just walking around the property and looking at all of the old crap that was just left to rot is more interesting than roaming around in the dark.

A friend of a friend of mine is part owner of the property. He says it should be a pretty good haunted attraction.

I would LOVE to be able to walk/shoot/be there.

I remember when i went we all scared the **** outta these other kids that were there by throwing **** at em from the roof but we had to confront them and let em know it was us because the dad said he was gonna go grab his gun lol. Fun times we had to worry about asbestos or whatever.

wheres some scary egit places to check out that has tours or a haunted house...i felt like terror behinf the walls was better for their day tour then their night haunted house
