is it worth it?
 

I've been looking to buy a bike recently and pretty much have all the funds. I want to get an SV650S (03+).

I found one on craigslist

Which is a great price, but the front looks like it really got mangled. Won't pass inspection without some work being done to it too. I have the money for this now, and could pick it up this weekend though but the inspection part scares me a little bit. Oh, and it needs a new front tire.

Which is clean, has no problems, never been laid down. Would easily pass inspection (unless the tires are old). I don't have the money saved up for this one yet and would have to wait til the middle/end of september and it could probably be sold by then.

I'm willing to put in work to make the bike inspection, I just don't like messing with wires too much. All the fairing work I could probably easily do as long as the rest is pretty stockish.

With the end of the season fast approaching I'd wait and purchase something when the prices drop even more in the off-season.

yea you will see tons of bikes for sale in the next two too three weeks I wouldn't buy anything set up for stunt unless your looking to do that they are always more headaches then they look

I've heard there are big budget buyers that hoard all the cheap deal bikes until spring. Any truth?

Most definitely. More demand at that time of the year.

Hopefully I see some more sv's coming around in the next few weeks then.
Been waiting all summer, whats another two weeks.
