Well I've been to a HIN before (before the HIN/NOPI merge) and that was great. This is my first attendance of a NOPI event. I was disappointed in the poor management of the event. They didn't announce the starting time on their site, so everyone assumed industry norm (11:30am-noon), so everyone shows up only to find out it doesn't start until 4pm. Turnout was HORRIBLE for a professional event like this (probably the heat and NOPI's bad rep lately). I mean the stands at the drift/drag events were near empty. The car show was sad too...maybe 100 cars or so.

As far as my track run goes, I smoked a Cooper S, but got beat by an Evo X as well as a sleeper Tercel (which ended up running faster than my bracket AND blew his motor).

So in conclusion, it was pretty crappy. I'm never going to any event with "NOPI" in it ever again.

ive been to nope and hin before they merged and it was fun at both events. glad i didnt waste my time/gas/money on this event then. but hin usually started from 4pm and lasted til like 11pm-12am everytime i went to a show (east coast and west)

I've never had a HIN start at 4 before, maybe NOPI did but I never went to them. But still, they didn't have a time on their site, so everyone guessed...and we guessed wrong.

just curious, what were your times at the track?

Ran consistent 15's. No race gas, air filter and plugs needed changing, crap tires, launched at idle, 167F track temp. Ran like crap to be honest. I didn't really put a whole lot of effort into it.

Stock, I'm supposed to run a 14.4 but some people are reporting going as fast as 12.9 stock.

that track is terrible, it was just too hot out when i was there, and i guess the events were only a week apart. thats still pretty good given the temps and stuff. i ran consistent as well, but consistently bad, lol!!
