Seafoam

I bought a can of Seafoam last night, used it all went great. Car runs much smoother.

Question is: I noticed Seafoam is not greenish anymore, its clear and comes in a different can. Is there any reason for this?

I recently bought 2 cans of it, 1 for the gas tank, 1 for the crankcase and engine. Didn't notice anything different after I was done but I didn't have any problems and fairly low miles... really just did it to see it smoke as I drove down the road because I was really bored that day. After driving arround I changed my oil too.

Mine wad clear too(maybe 5 months ago).

I did get a fair amount of smoke but not for very long. Does this just mean it was pretty clean from the start.

Thats my understanding of it. Less smoke the cleaner you were.

Alright thanks, for the info. My big concern was the change of product color and packaging. But yours was like mine.

Guess I will Seafoam one more time in a few weeks through the break-booster. BTW I would advise against fuel and crankcase use.

FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING SEAFOAM:

In fuel, if you have any sludge it may clog the fuel filter or even the pump and you will have an expensive mess on your hand.

Crankcase, if you have an older engine, Seafoam can remove 'good' deposits that are actually sealing a leak or something of that nature.

I'd say break-booster is safest. Just do not leave the car sitting off for more than 5 minutes. It might not start anymore haha.

Putting something with gasoline-like consistency in my oil isn't something I can push myself to do. Half through the intake, half in the fuel tank is how I prefer it. The amount of smoke is dependent on how much product is ingested, not the amount of deposit being cleaned. I do believe the color of the smoke is affected by the condition of the engine though.

smoke color was white and density was fairly light. Used 1/3 of the can as instructed.

Seafoam is awesome, I use it on every older car I buy and they always run better afterward.

I used it on my last car, 94 del sol b16 with 146k miles, put some in the crankcase and the gastank. Cleaned everything out beautifully. Car ran amazingly clean for such high milage
